Working within an interprofessional acute care team to provide physiotherapy services across General Surgery, Orthopedics, and Neurosurgery units. Responsibilities include ensuring patients meet acute rehabilitation goals in preparation for discharge, providing patient and family education on conditions and treatment plans, and modifying plans of care as needed—particularly for elective surgery patients. Care is delivered in accordance with professional and organizational standards using evidence-based practice to optimize patient outcomes.

Additional responsibilities include providing educational programs for hospital staff (e.g., safe transfer training for nurses), supervising Rehabilitation Assistants, and contributing to evidence-based care planning aligned with organizational strategic direction.
